Introduction

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a medical framework which has been used as a form of primary health care in China for thousands of years and incorporates acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tui-na (Chinese massage), diet and lifestyle advice.

The basic principle of TCM is the wholistic concept that good health relies on the restoration and maintenance of harmony and balance in the body. Emma is a qualified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist who studied at UWS and completed a three month clinical training program at Jiang Su Provincial Hospital of TCM, Nanjing, China.

Emma treats both acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages, ranging from newborns to pregnant women to the elderly.

She has a great interest in the areas of stress and anxiety, depression and insomnia and has a passion for the use of acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine as a integrated treatment for infertility and pregnancy issues.

She has experience in acupuncture assistance during IVF and in treating all of those conditions that can come along with pregnancy such as morning sickness, sciatica, common cold, headaches/migraines, back pain. She also offers routine pre-birth treatments to assist in a healthy and trouble free labour as well as treatments for malpositioned fetus (breech baby) and induction of labour.
