Emma Howe is the owner of and practitioner at Peakhurst Chinese Medicine. Emma is university trained, is qualified in the fields of both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, the national registraion board for her industry. She is also member of the AACMA, the peak professional body for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Australia. She has been practicing at her clinic in Peakhurst since 2003.
Emma specialises in the areas of gynecology, obstetrics, fertility and general women's health. As a practitioner who specialises in these areas, Emma is highly regarded in her industry as well as by many local gynecologists and obstetricians. Over the past years, Emma has been invited to speak at birth classes, IVF support information nights and is referred many a patient by other heath professionals in the local area.
She is well known to a number of other fertility clinics and is is a recommended practitioner of Genea Fertility Clinic (formerly Sydney IVF).
Her expertise in the area of pregnancy and birth preparation has seen her form a close bond with the midwives of the birth centre and labour ward at St George Hospital and a number of the obstetricians who service the local area.
Emma's focus is on bringing balance and healing to both body and mind by using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine alongside simple respect, care and a desire to see people healthy and happy.
Rachael Haley joined the practice in 2010 and is a university trained acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. She is a member of the AAMCA and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Rachael has worked in the health industry for over 8 years, firstly working as a qualified Myotherapist for 5 years before embarking on Traditional Chinese Medicine, for which she is well respected in the community, both among patients and professionals alike.
Rachael is both passionate and knowledgable in the fields of Women’s Health, Fertility and Pregnancy related support. She has made a great name for herself over her years of practice and is now well established at Peakhurst Chinese Medicine specialising in these fields.
Rachael has a passion for holistic health and to move away from the common desire for 'quick fixs' to our medical and health problems through drugs, surgery. Concerned about this modern trend, Rachael's focus is on getting the body to a point where it has the strength to heal itself and to stay healthy long term.
Mei Liu joined the practice in 2012. A university trained acupuncturist and herbalist, Mei Liu is a member of ATMS and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
A competent acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, Mei is about achieving true lasting health, not fast bottle cures that make us feel good temporarily but don't get to the root of the problems.
With great personal experince with Chinese medicine, Mei believes that we must eventually be lead to examine and shift the factors in our lives that allow disease to prevail in the first place and that acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are powerful tools to aid us in making our bodies, minds and awareness stronger.
As our most recent addition to the practice, Sarah is another talented practitioner who is also university trained, is a member of ATMS and is a registered practitioner with the Austratlian Health Practitiner Regulation Agency
Sarah areas of interest and expertise are in Women’s Health, focusing on infertility, IVF support and gynecological disorders. She is passionate about her work and strives to provide her patients with the best of care to get them feeling better and enjoying life. Sarah prides herself on taking the time to talk with her patients in order to best understand their condition so she can put together the best personalised treatment plan tailored to each patient’s needs.
