Peakhurst Chinese Medicine was founded by principal practitioner Emma Howe in 2003. Over more than 20 years, patients have come and gone, and come back again for entirely different reasons. Patients have had treatments as kids and then come back and become parents themselves. For all of this time, Peakhurst Chinese Medicine has remained a place that people can come to knowing that their troubles will be heard and that they will receive a level of care and experience second to none. For Emma, it has been an absolute pleasure and privilege serving the community, seeing people grow and change and come back again because they know that what we can offer works- because health matters and we all need to remember that.
In 2010, Emma welcomed Rachael Haley, another practitioner into the clinic as a new graduate. She was a wonderful addition and became an invaluable member of the team who spent 7 years working with patients to bring them into the best health that they could be. Over the years, other practitioners have come and go, but in 2023, Rachael decided to come back to where it all began and rejoin the team here, bringing her weather of knowledge and experience with her.
Emma and Rachael are passionate practitioners who believe in Chinese Medicine and the changes that it can bring to peoples lives. They have lived it themselves, and seen it in so many patients whose have come through the doors of the clinic. It is an honour to be able to provide the community with such an all encompassing medical system that delivers, time and time again. They are continually learning in order to provide the best care that they can and look forward to being able to bring change, harmony and health to even more patients.
University trained in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, Emma and Rachael are members of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
