Peakhurst Chinese Medicine was founded in 2003 by Emma Howe.
The practice has steadily grown in size and reputation over the years and for a number of years. Emma is joined at the practice by two other practitioners- Sarah Omar and Nuala Walker. All practitioners at Peakhurst Chinese Medicine are university trained in both Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture and are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
The focus of the practice is to help bring balance and healing to both body and mind, by using both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine alongside simple respect, care and a real passion to see people healthy and happy.
Covid-19 Changes and Response
As the Covid-19 virus pandemic continues, we are trying to be as responsible as we can with our health and yours.
As such, we have implemented new procedures in the clinic in order to adhere to the social distancing rules as well as even higher hygiene measures than our we already have in place.
In addition to our usual hygiene practices, we will have implemented additional procedures to meet increased hygiene recommendations set out by the Australian Government Guidelines of Health and SafeWork Australia. We have also put procedures in place in order to adhere to social distancing advice that we have all been given. Please don’t be offended when we keep our distance at your appointments when we can. We also ask that you adhere to the increased hygiene measures within the practice itself as well.
The safety of our patients, your families and us as practitioners is our number one priority. As has been the case for a number of weeks now, please, if you have ANY symptoms that could be linked to the Covid-19 virus, stay at home. By all means get in touch with us by phone or email to see if we can offer assistance but do not attend the clinic itself. However, it is vital that you contact your GP for advice on which steps to take if you do have any symptoms that can be related to the virus at all.
