Owner of and practitioner at Peakhurst Chinese Medicine, Emma Howe has been practicing Chinese Medicine for over 20 years. After initially being involved in teaching at the University of Western Sydney, Emma established Peakhurst Chinese Medicine in 2003 and over the years since has gained a strong and solid reputation in the industry and local community alike.
After many years of practice and more study, Emma’s real passion is Classical Chinese Medicine- practicing Chinese Medicine as it was, way back when it first began, without all the bells and whistles. She practices a Han dynasty style of Chinese Medicine according to the principles of the Shanghan Lun and the Jingui Yaolue, two of the major classical manuscripts that Chinese Medicine is based upon. She uses a combination of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs in her treatments, tailoring treatment to each patient based on their needs and also on their preference.
After 20 years of experience as an herbalist and acupuncturist, Emma has an even greater passion for Classical Chinese Medicine and the part that it plays her life and the life of her patients. As a lifetime student of the classics, she continues to learn and strives to use her knowledge and skills in making changes, both big and small, for each person who walks through the door.
