Rachael has been practicing Chinese Medicine since 2010; which was when she first joined the team at Peakhurst Chinese Medicine. After a number of years practicing in Bondi and south Sydney, Rachael has returned to the St George area, bringing her knowledge and experience back to the clinic, joining the team once again.
Rachael was introduced to Chinese medicine at an early age, when she sought treatment for an ankle injury. Two acupuncture sessions sorted her pain and enabled her to compete in her athletics carnival, and from then she was hooked. She has been an acupuncture advocate from a young age and primarily sought Chinese medicine to recover from sporting injuries, aches and pains and supporting her general wellbeing during her teenage years and beyond.
Her own health experiences, and that of her family, sparked a curiosity to learn more about the body, health and eastern medicine and inspired her to help others with their own quest for wellness. Throughout her career she has worked with many women and couples on their quest for a healthy baby. This has become an area of passion, in which she has professional and personal experience of what you can achieve through a conscious preconception health plan.
Rachael loves assisting those looking for pain relief and stress management. She has a special interest in supporting women and couples trying to conceive, women with menstrual and other hormonal issues (including endometriosis, fibroids and PCOS), pregnancy and postpartum care. In more recent years she has taken a keen interest in and incorporated Japanese (Kiiko style) acupuncture into her practice which is a very gentle style for more sensitive patients.
